Major Joel Oluwole Olaoye (RTD), a decorated veteran assumed duty as the Head of Department of the Department of Accountancy of the Nigerian Army School of Finance and Administration, Apapa in October 2020 after retiring from service. Born on February 2, 1963, Major Joel Olaoye (RTD) hails from Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State, Nigeria.

Major Olaoye (RTD) graduated from the Nigerian Defence Academy as a member of the Direct Regular Course into the Nigerian Army. Throughout his distinguished career, he demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and expertise across a range of command and staff roles in diverse divisions amongst which include the Military Assistance (MA) at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, jaji, Kaduna....

Over the course of his civillian life, Major Olaoye (RTD) has held several teaching positions, including:

Major Olaoye (RTD)'s academic accomplishments include a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from the Nigerian Army School of Finance and Administration (NASFA) in 1992, a Master of Science (M.Sc) Degree in Economics from Lead City University, Ibadan, 2008. He is also currently pursuing his Doctorate Degree.

He is affiliated with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) as a Fellow.

Beyond his career, Major Olaoye (RTD) is a devoted family man, married with children. He engages in a variety of hobbies.

Presently, Major Olaoye (RTD) holds the crucial position of the Head of Department, the Department of Accountancy at the Nigerian Army School of Finance and Administration (NASFA).
