Brigadier General Oyeleke Oluwasegun Olutunde, a decorated veteran assumed duty as the Director of the Army Personnel Pay Office (APPO), of the Nigerian Army Finance Corps as a Brigadier General on 08 January 2024 after serving in different units and formations.He wass born into the esteemed family of Major and Mrs. Olutunde on April 4, 1973, in Lagos. Hailing from Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State, he embarked on a distinguished military journey after gaining admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy as part of Regular Course 44 to study Economics in 1992. Graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Economics, he was commissioned to the rank of Second Lieutenant in 1997.

Throughout his illustrious career, Brigadier General Oyeleke has undergone extensive military training, including courses such as YOC Finance at NASFA, Apapa Lagos, YOC Infantry at NASI Jaji, Motar Platoon Commander Course at NASI, Cashiers’ Course at NASFA, Apapa Lagos, and Junior and Senior Staff Course at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji. His dedication to professional development is evident in his participation in various courses, including the Commander Division Finance and Account Course at NASFA Apapa Lagos, Conflict Prevention Course at KAIPTC, Defence Resources Management in California, and the Strategic Management Course in Abuja.

Brigadier General Oyeleke is affiliated with esteemed professional bodies, holding memberships as a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), Fellow Institute of Chartered Economist of Nigeria (FICEN), Fellow Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM), and Member National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (mni)....

Having served in diverse capacities, his most recent appointment is as the Commander 1 Division Finance and Accounts (CDFA) at HQ 1 Division Finance and Accounts, Kaduna. His journey within the military includes notable roles at the Defence Intelligence Agency, Abuja, and the Army Personnel Pay Office (APPO) as the Director. Since his commissioning as a Second Lieutenant in 1997, Brigadier General Oyeleke's career progression reflects his dedication and leadership qualities. His promotions include Second Lieutenant to Lieutenant (1997), Lieutenant to Captain (2000), Captain to Major (2006), Major to Lieutenant Colonel (2011), Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel (2016), and Colonel to Brigadier General (2021).

Beyond his military commitments, Brigadier General Oyeleke is a devoted family man, happily married to Mrs. Olufunmilayo Olubunmi, with whom he shares the joy of three children. His interests extend beyond the military domain, encompassing a love for football and lawn tennis.
