Major General Adetokunbo Fayemiwo, a decorated veteran and a member of the 40th Regular Course assumed duty as the 24th Chief of Accounts and Budget (Army) 
of the Nigerian Army Finance Corps on 4 August 2022 after serving in different units and formations.
He is a native of Obokun Local Government Area, Osun State. General Fayemiwo was admitted into the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna as a member of 40th Regular Course. He was commissioned on 25 September 1993, having graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree on 14 September 1992. He has had multiple command and staff positions in many divisions throughout the last 29 years.
He has served in command and leadership positions amongst which are: Staff Officer Grade 1 Finance, Army Headquarters Department of Logistics from 9 August
2005 to 4 June 2006, General Staff Officer Grade 1 (Training and Exercises) from June 2006 to February 2007 as well as Staff Officer 1 (Administration and Quartering) at Headquarters Nigerian Army Finance Corps from February 2007 to March 2008. At Post- Service Homes (Saving & Loans) Limited, he was the Internal Auditor from March to October 2008 before being posted to Armed Forces Command and Staff College as a member of the Directing Staff which spanned November 2008 to November 2010. Within the same period, he was appointed Staff Officer Grade 1 (Training and Exercises) at the Department of Land Warfare, Armed Forces Command and Staff College. From 3 March 2011 to 16 April 2014, Major-General Adetokunbo was also the Director Finance & Accounts at National Defence College Nigeria. Additionally, he was Deputy Director Finance at Army Headquarters Department of Training and Operations from March to November
2016 before being appointed the Director Peacekeeping Operations at Army Headquarters Department of Training and Operations. Within the period August 2017 to March 2020, he was the Director Army Finance and Accounts at Headquarters Nigerian Army Finance Corps, Apapa, and later became Commander, Command Finance Office. Furthermore, he was the Director, Department of Land Warfare, Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Nigeria from 16 April 2020 to 25 January 2021. He served as the pioneer Managing Director, Nigerian Army Micro Finance Bank from February 2021 to July 2021 and later became the Group Managing Director, Nigerian Army Welfare Limited/Guarantee. An appointment he held from July 2021 until his recent appointment as the Chief of Accounts and Budget (Army).
General Fayemiwo's education includes a degree from the University of Ibadan from where he bagged an Advance Diploma in Banking & Finance on 30 April 1998 and Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma for Masters Degree in Business Administration obtained on 28 August 2002. He also holds a Masters degree in International Affairs and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy obtained on 17 September 2010.
He is a Member and Fellow of varying professional bodies which include; ... a Fellow, Certified National Accountant on 1 August 2014, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria bestowed on him on 8 September 2016 and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management.
He has attended different Military Courses. He holds the Passed Staff Course Dagger [psc(+)] award to his credit, the Distinguished Service Star (DSS) Military Honours and Service Awards and is equally conferred the Status of a Member of the National Institute. His hobbies are listening to music and playing golf.
