INTRODUCTION


The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre is a Tri-service institution saddled with the training of military personnel in one vocation or the other before retiring into civil life. The objective of the Centre is to assist retiring military personnel in settling into civil life with ease. It is pertinent to note, however, that the Centre used to be known as the Nigerian Army Resettlement Centre at its very inception before ... the need to include other sister military services was established.

HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT


At the outset, it was established to rehabilitate military personnel who were injured in battle or suffer one form of debilitation or the other in the course of discharging their duty to the Nation. As it is always the case, a medical facility is usually established in military formations to cater for the health needs of its personnel and their families. ... The finances of the institution is managed by the Directorate of Finance (DOF) who reports directly to the Commandant. He is responsible for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the institution. The Directorate is headed by an Army officer with the established rank of a Brigadier General. The current Director of Finance is Brigadier General AM Inuwa.
