INTRODUCTION
The 7 Division TG (7 Div TG) Nigerian Army is a newly formed Division among the 8 Divisions of the Nigerian Army. The Division was established to decisively counter the threat of insurgency, terrorism and armed banditry prevalent in the North Eastern part of the country.
HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT
7 Div TG Nigerian Army became operational with effect from the 22nd of August, 2013 with its area of operational responsibilities covering three North-Eastern States of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States. The Division’s Head Quarters is located in Maiduguri and the approved mascot is a Wolf while the approved logo is a snaring Wolf where the Arabic numeral “7” ... superimposed on a background of horizontal yellow ochre (sandy brown), seven green stripes as well as red and black colours.
The motto of the Division is “Doggedness and Boldness”. The history of 7 Division TG Finance (7 Div TG Fin) is closely related to the history of 7 Division TG Nigerian Army. 7 Div TG Fin came to effect therefore, with the formation of 7 Division TG Nigerian Army.
